It is apparent that the world is witnessing the unthinkable, but more importantly the unacceptable in real time. Who told you the story? is rooted in the often manipulated cultural and historical narrative that the Western World presents through propaganda. While the world is witnessing the unacceptable in Palestine, there remains manipulated narratives and inconsistent reflections of what is.
A Middle Eastern perspective offers an artistic lens into the untold, but mostly hidden aspects of the culture, historical and authentic views of the Middle East. Who told you the story? opens the door to see a better perspective of Middle Eastern culture, emphasizing Palestine.
Programming for this exhibition has focus on Art, Graphic Design, Film/Media, Literary and Middle Eastern Diaspora facilitation of intellectual discourse on matters concerning their greater role within contemporary art.
In addition to creating an interactive, engaging and educational experience for all who attend this exhibition we hope to create a space within which you will explore and experience contemporary art.
Who told you the story? is a project that was initiated in parallel with ongoing situation that the world is witnessing in Gaza. What once was a vision by a few people has grown into a project that has reached and touched countless hearts and souls. This project has been an invitation to a space where talented artists, creators, producers, volunteers and simply put soul beings have come together for a greater cause. ’It’s great when one can see a vision by a few people has grown into a project that includes many disciplines and mediums which makes this project an invitation to cause. With a focus on narratives and themes for Middle Eastern culture, this exhibition line up and programming hasopened minds and hearts of people while sparking intellectual transformation. Throught our desire of reaching people to tell the true story of Middle Eastern Culture we invite you to a space beyond manipulated narratives of propaganda.
